My name is Roxanna Sabir and I am a lawyer and business consultant based in British Columbia, Canada.
When I was studying for my undergrad, I had the opportunity to undertake an internship in East Africa. I had the opportunity to learn about micro-financing and just how one small investment, a woman’s vision and the opportunity to build a business could change the trajectory of a family, a village and even an entire community.
My dream was to work for myself, on my terms, in a business that supported women to live a life they were passionate about while creating financial independence and freedom. You see, I believe deeply that you should wake up every day getting to do what fulfills your soul!
The irony was, at the time, I was broke! I was a musician and music teacher running a music studio while trying to complete my undergrad education. My music fed my passion and my soul, but it did not feed my stomach and often not my bills. What I didn’t know at the time was just how much I was learning about the key foundations to running a successful business. What did not work, and exactly what did!
